It's a learning experience of course, and colleges are not prepared for it at present. Here, we seek to begin the voyage toward the new, holistic university.   The basic science always consists in specific observation & details of experiments of Nature including human tribal life & cultures. But this must always be integrated in global unity with all there is known, or distortions & trivialities can thrive in place of truth.  The human mind is specifically suited to fill itself with the big picture, and the recently discovered Default Mode Network (DMN) is at work constantly to organize the global context in a rational manner.
